Merry Memory

Posted by: DT  :  Category: Crazy Funny

Since ‘tis the season let us see if there are any specific Christmas flash drives. You know, ones that don’t just make for great gifts but actually have a Christmas theme. So get your eggnog ready…

At first we can prove that there really is a Santa Claus. Not at the north pole but at the port of your ho-ho-home computer.

5 different Santa Claus Flash Drives: with Sack, flexing, iBear, rejoicing & hugging

Coming to Tower: Santa Claus Flash Drive (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

Santa Claus flash drives may hug, wave, flex their muscle, carry a sack or even come as an iBear. Santa can have his belly stuffed with 1 to 16GB and may weigh around 18g. The fastest Santa Claus flash drive flies with 12 MB/s but may even be faster if he has his reindeer to help out.

Reindeer Flash Drive with lid on & off

Dancing, Prancing, Blitzing: Reindeer Flash Drive (@ logox21)

or (white logo2)

The reindeer memory stick pulls gifts in a total of 8GB and may even protect them with password wrap. It sports a little bell on his leash and a big red nose which more than likely contains the LED. This USB reindeer has grown up to be 62 x 30 x 14 mm and has been bred as a Super Talent Flash Drive.

A breed of another kind is the Christmas tree flash drive.

Two Christmas Tree Flash Drives with trunk lid on & off

Evergear: Christmas Tree Flash Drive (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

Not only is it decorated by itself with baubles and tinsel but it also serves as a practical ornament for your computer. And that without losing any fir needles or cones. The Christmas tree flash drive has a weight of 22g but can be reduced when the tree trunk is lifted as the USB interface cap. Likewise it may gain weight by attaching a key ring through the hole of the star top.

On to our next Christmas surprise. Aside from Santa’s gang and a tree what else is a must have for the Holidays? Of course, Christmas stockings.

2 Christmas Stocking Flash Drives, one retractable & one with cap

To stuff and be stuffed: Christmas Stocking Flash Drive (@ logox21)

or (white logo2)

Instead of hanging by your chimney they only look like one while they sock it to your computer with 1-4GB. They’re stuffed with password and partitioning support and – no surprise there – they’re bootable. More of a surprise though is the retractable USB connector. However there’s also a cap variety.

Now we move away from the warm and cozy Christmas interior and see what’s outside in the snowy, enchanting landscape.

Snowman flash drives!

Four Snowman Flash Drives: Red Hat (2 types), Blue Hat & Black Hat

Merry Men: Snowman Flash Drive (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

In the true tradition of creative snowmen building these too stand in different forms and sizes.
They may have scarves, red, black or blue hats and consist of 2-8GB of snow. Of course you have to watch that they don’t melt while sitting in your USB port but usually they enjoy getting a break from the cold.

Frolicking around beside the rather static snowmen is the USB Christmas dog.

Snowdog Flash Drive with head lid on & off

Jolly Good Fellow: Snowdog Flash Drive (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

It has a red Santa hat and looks a little bit like Snoopy. While this Snowdog may not be as frolicky as the Humping Dog Flash Drive it can definitely hold its own territory with a range of 2 to 8GB. And it sure makes a great companion to USB Santa Claus.

Back to a more static winter figure we have the Santa Penguin.

Frostbytes: Santa Penguin Flash Drive (@ logox21)

or (white logo2)

With a movable head to reveal the USB connector and a Christmas tree carry strap, this Penguin flash drive merrily joins the 2-8GB family.

Last but not least, there are plenty of custom Christmas flash drives available that don’t come in the shape of a particular figure but with a holiday theme imprinted.

Various Christmas labelled Flash Drives: Snowman, Santa Claus, Candles, Wreath, Bells, Crip, Christmas Tree, Santa with Sleigh, snowed in House, Christmas Carol movie

Xmas themes aplenty: Christmas Flash Drives (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

There are slim card flash drives with wreaths, Santa Claus, jingle bells and nativity scenes. There are also regular shapes showing Christmas trees, a romantic snowed in house and Santa with his reindeer sleigh.

Well, unless you want to be a scrooge these Christmas flash drives are wonderful gifts to your loved ones and their computers. Whether a Snowman or Santa himself, they all can be considered diligent little helpers, even elfin. And that’s no humbug!

Stick of the Nation

Posted by: DT  :  Category: Crazy Funny

Have you ever considered displaying your national affiliation via flash drives? Ever thought of them as patriotic gifts?

It doesn’t matter if you’re at the office or killing time at a foreign airport. Whether you’re doing a presentation for a federal department or sticking it out on a military deployment – with patriotic flash drives you can greatly show your national byte. Or just invoke a bit of home.

For the brave American: The Statue of Liberty Flash Drive

Statue of Liberty Memory Stick, one with base concealing USB and one off the base

Load of Opportunities: Statue of Liberty Flash Drive (@ logox21)

or (white logo2)

Authentic in color and detail, this stick of liberty is accurately scaled at 330:1 and works best in a new port. At least 2GB can immigrate as well as emigrate and with the bigger and better version, even up to 16GB. To ensure safety of the digital citizen, a department of AES-256bit security is integrated along with password protection.

If the liberated files should prove too messy though it’s easy to erase and start all over again. Likewise, if installing order on the computer of conflict seems futile it’s easy to pull out of the quagmire. Then, for a well deserved rest, you can cover the USB connector with the base and your Statue of Liberty flash drive can stand proudly on your desktop.

For the loyal Brit: Big Ben Flash Drive

Big Ben Memory Stick, one with base concealing USB and one off the base

London Crawling: Big Ben Memory Stick (@ black logo)

or (black3)

Although the Big Ben memory stick is not accurately scaled, it can strike powerfully with 1-16GB while you’re leisurely sipping on tea. Not falling short of the Statue of Liberty in other compartments, it too supports AES-256bit encryption as well as passwording. This ought to make it work as reliable as the real Big Ben which, by the way, is the world’s largest four-faced chiming clock (this for you uneducated non-Brits).

Though one may surely create a data empire with this Big Ben flash drive it isn’t truly loyal. That’s because it’s manufactured by Chinese company iMicro which one would have suspected rather with the USB Statue of Liberty, given the Chinese mass production of post 9-11 US flags. But astonishingly, that one is actually made by the American firm Super Talent. And I’m sorry lads, but the next example also shows that the British don’t have it quite right yet.

RAM Memoy Sticks imprinted with British Flags

Tool Britannia: Union Jack RAM Memory Stick (@ logox21)

or (white logo2)

As a memory stick of the other kind, this RAM Union Jack only sticks half-mast and most likely concealed from everyone’s view. Uhmmm…ok. I guess it’s the thought that counts and latter may still appreciate a set of these as marvellous patriotic gifts. After all, a set serves 2 x 2GB and the manufacturer, Crucial, could be British this time. I say “could” because this brand falls under Lexar Media products which in turn is a subsidiary of Micron Technology. So only god or the queen knows which country put the mark on these Union Jack memory sticks. I’m sure they would

Excusez-moi, what about the French?

Big White Emptiness with French Flag at the top

I would have loved to promote an Eiffel Tower flash drive here but sacrebleu and mon dieu, it’s nowhere to be seen. Honestly, you have to pardon me. But mabye the Statue of Liberty flash drive could work just as well here, seeing that the French created the Lady and gave her as a present to the Americans? After all, the designer of the Eiffel Tower – Gustav Eiffel – was also the engineer of the Statue’s inner structure. Yeah, eat that you freedom fries loving Americans! Merci.

As for other countries – while speaking of foods -, we could relate the Fortune Cookie Flash Drive to the Chinese, the Pizza Flash Drive to the Italians and the Sushi Flash Drive to the Japanese. Then we could associate the Hamburger Flash Drive with the USA as well as the Donut Memory Stick and USB Bacon Flash Drive. Oh right, we already got the Americans covered. Sorry about that!

If you still haven’t found something that resembles your country of origin or choice there’s hope left:

Custom Flag Flash Drives

Two Custom Flash Drives, one with Canadian Flag and one with Jamaican Flag

Flagging Data: Custom Flag Flash Drives (@ black logo)

or (black3)

Bearing a country’s flag with beautiful enamel coating you can exercise 2GB of patriotic duty. Now geeks of every nationality should be able to find happiness as I’m sure ebay sellers can make flash drives with any flag. At last, we’re really talking patriotic gifts!

But – let us also consider a general approach. After all, we live in global times with a multi-cultural society. So how about a neutral Patriot Flash Drive? With a Magnum, Razzo or Xporter you’re guaranteed to have compatibility. Because who can actually ensure that a Statue of Liberty memory stick will get along with a Toshiba laptop? Or that a Big Ben flash drive will tolerate Fujitsu Siemens? Well, my friends, that probably lies in your own hands.

Recycle Buns

Posted by: DT  :  Category: Reat & Write

Delicious, fresh and maybe a Bit baked come these USB bun flash drives. Whether you prefer hot dogs, subs or plain bread – your computer will enjoy the extra zest.

First you can save your files and logs with USB hot dogs.

2 Hotdog Flash Drives, one with Mustard, one with Ketchup

Hot Dog Flash Drives (@ logox21) or (white logo2)

Which type would you like? We can offer mustard only, with a wiener size of 1-2GB, or we can offer mustard + ketchup sandwiching a wiener of up to 8GB. The first one has the USB plug at the end whereas the ketchup version needs to be “broken” in half to expose it. That way you can have one half hot docked to your port and the other one as an in-between snack.

Another way to sandwich your data is with a sub flash drive.

USB Sandwich Memory Stick looking toasty

USB Sandwich Flash Drive (black3)

Though filled with pastrami, egg and lettuce, it leaves room for 1-2GB worth of additives. And with an amazing recipe secret it turns these into preservatives once the sandwich flash drive is unplugged. I’m not sure if it’s really healthy but I guess your computer and gadget could care less.

If you prefer it simpler, you can also bake your data with the french bread flash drive.

USB Bread Memory Stick baked to a toast

With 1-2GB it’s well served as a digital enhancement to any bread and butter life. No matter if you live in France, Britain or the US.

Unfortunately USB buns are not really digestible despite their yummy allure. I know, what a bunner. For your computer however it’s pretty easy to break down the bunary code. And that, I say, makes them worth their salt.
