Classic
Beginning our series on ADATA flash drives is the classic series. Mostly, this implies their classic style and performance. Their model names sound more like a spy movie though. There’s certainly a twist to them which is also reflected in the software options – enabling you to turn them into more than just regular storage gadgets.

hey i like C803 but will you please tell me reading and writing speed of C803 of 32 GB.
November 9th, 2010 at 10:17 pm
Sanket,
unfortunately A-Data doesnt give any actual speed specs. I’ve browsed the net a bit and did find a few speed tests done with the C803. They were around 20MB/s read and 5MB/s write. This is pretty normal for standard USB 2.0 speed.

Th Kingston G3 16GB has a reported read speed of 7MB/Second. What speed is considered slow, standard, and fast?

zzyzx,
where did you see that number reported? As with most devices of this nature, speeds can vary greatly depending on the flash drive, the host computer, volume of files transferred etc. Personally I would consider standard reading speeds for USB 2.0 anything between 8-15 MB/s. Slow would be 5 MB/s and below and really fast would be 25-30 MB/s. The writing speeds are always a bit lower than the reading speeds, up to 5 MB/s less.
